Member Stories: Babies!!!

We are honoured to have received so many stories from our members using us at crucial life moments. In fact, it looks like Zipcar has partnered with the stork, helping to deliver new life into London. Here are some lovely stories from our members on how Zipcar helped with their bundles of joy.  
 

Hospital dash

"We used Zipcar to take my wife to hospital for the birth of our son, Albie. It was great to pick up the Flex car knowing it would be clean and safe. Zipcar took the stress out of a very stressful life event! The best bit, with it being the Flex service, is that I didn’t have to worry about parking charges! Thank you Zipcar."

Zipcar to the rescue

"At the start of my friend's maternity leave, a group of us decided to have a celebration. Not five minutes into the do, my friend came out of the loo a bit sheepish, her waters had broken... about three weeks too soon! We were caught the wrong side of the river, and her husband was on the other side of London. She didn’t want to give birth north of the river (especially as all her preparation had been at the Princess Royal in Bromley). We jumped in a Zipcar, it was a nail biting journey, but I got mother-to-be to the maternity ward, and she gave birth fifteen minutes later. Mother, baby and the Zipcar shaped Stork were all ok!"

"Zipcar was a life saver for my wife and I during her pregnancy. We used our local e-Golf, which we've named "Zippy,” to get to and from the hospital during my wife's lockdown pregnancy when there was no other safe way to get there. Now, our little baby girl gets to ride in Zippy too!"

First ever baby scan

"My most memorable journey was driving my wife to the hospital for our very first pregnancy scan. It was such an exciting/anxious time for us. It was so helpful being able to drive her right to the door and not have to wait for busses. We then realised we’d forgotten some paperwork so nipping back home was really easy. All in all, a day made much more convenient because of my Zipcar account!"

I thought I'd have a look at the Zipcar app to see if any vehicles were available and to my surprise there was one on my doorstep which I quickly booked and took her to the hospital. Even through the hectic time there was always a Zipcar nearby for me to use!"
