Zipcar is the world’s largest car sharing club, providing members with access to cars and vans near their home or work. To rent a car members just search, book and unlock via the Zipcar app. With over 3,000 cars and vans to choose from in the UK, and more globally, members can rent cars near them by the minute, hour or day.

There’s two ways to drive: pick up and drop off a Roundtrip car or van from its own dedicated bay. Or, take a one-way Zipcar Flex: cars that you can pick up and drop off in most of London, as well as Heathrow T5.

How do I join?

To join Zipcar under the British Airways Executive Club offer, you must start your application from this page.

Just click ‘Join Now’ and complete the online application process. Make sure you have your British Airways Executive Club membership number, driving licence and payment card handy.

Once you have completed your application you will then be required to contact Zipcar support to share your British Airways Executive Club membership number. To do this, simply follow this link and in the dropdown select 'I have a question about my application'. You should then submit your full name, application email address and British Airways Executive Club membership number. This is the only time we capture your BA number, so you will not receive your Avios if you haven't shared this with us or it is incorrect.

How much does it cost?

You must be an approved Zipcar member on either a Smart or Plus account to benefit from our partnership with British Airways. You join either membership plans on a monthly or annual basis, and Smart plans are £6/month, Plus plans are £15/month. Both plans receive the membership fee back in driving credit each month, and have cheaper driving rates than our standard Basic plan. All plans include fuel, and insurance.

What if you are already a Zipcar member?

The Avios earn reward programme is only valid for Executive Club members joining Zipcar for the first time. If you are an existing member, you can join the programme to earn 50 Avios per qualifying reservation, by contacting support and following the steps above. Remember, to be eligible you will need to be on the Smart or Plus membership plan (i.e. not free Basic plan).
