Communities With Drive Winner: Anjellicle Cats Rescue, Saving More Than 9 Lives

When Zipcar and Ford sponsored the first-ever Communities with Drive contest this summer, more then 400 incredible non-profits revved up for a chance to accelerate their missions. After tireless campaigning efforts — translating to thousands of Facebook votes — NYC’s Anjellicle Cats Rescue claimed the top prize: $50,000 in cash and $15,450 in Zipcar driving credit. (Don’t worry, 21 other finalists zipped off with plenty of goodies, too.)

Founded more than a decade ago, Anjellicle Cats Rescue is a no-kill, all-volunteer organization that works tirelessly to rescue stray cats in danger of being euthanized and place them into permanent, loving homes. Watch the video to learn more (and see cats. Lots of adorable cats.)
